There was a day and age, not long ago, when a bowtie was evocative of grandpas and Tucker Carlson.  Now, even Tucker has eschewed the bowtie and the hip kids have embraced it.  I had dinner with a well dressed Canadian cutie Friday night and he was looking quite dapper in his bowtie and Gucci belt.  I asked why fashionable guys wear bowties and he told me he’s been watching a lot of Mad Men and is feeling the whole retro vibe.  He also reminded me of Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl.   Fashion is cyclical and this fashion trend has gone from geek to chic.
